Tom, I bet Bill Collins would know, might be worth a call.
He told me that a good few years back he got out a map and looked at a load of lakes in Cork and had a look at what they were like. Bet he knows them.

Ya I have them on maps but I have never been to them so was just wondering if they were being fished at all.
I'm living down this way now so I'll be checking them out once it warms up a bit.
It's carp I'm looking for but tactic wise I'll be hooking most fish hopefully :D

Other lakes in general or ones with carp in them ???
There's about 12 or 13 Carp lakes around Cork, many more lakes than that though.
The Kinsale one has been raped as far as I know.

Yeah...the Kinsale one has been hammered. Many a fine meal has come out of there. Add in Curraghlicky lake near Dunmanway and it wouldn't take long to put together a list of lovely waters in Cork that have been practically cleaned out...oh I nearly forgot Ballincollig...and I'll put together a nice long list of similiar waters in Clare.
